Preparation Guidelines

How to Prepare for
Your Ceremony

The quality of your preparation directly shapes the depth of your experience. These guidelines exist not as rules, but as an invitation — to show up fully ready.

"The more you put in, the more you get out"

Step 1 — Safety First

Your safety is the first priority. Before we meet in person, we will review your health screening together and discuss any contraindications or modifications relevant to your unique situation.

General Preparation

Food & Drink

  • Reduce or stop meat & animal products
  • Eliminate junk food, fried foods & sodas
  • No alcohol & cannabis — 3 to 7 days prior
  • Limit coffee to 1 espresso per day
  • Increase fruits, vegetables & clean water

What You Consume

  • Begin listening to medicine music
  • Avoid news & heavy media
  • Reduce social media use
  • Begin a daily spiritual reading
  • Limit time in low-energy environments

Physical Practices

  • Daily meditation & journaling
  • Barefoot walks in nature — phone-free
  • Sleep by 10pm, rise by 6am
  • Stay well hydrated
  • Light stretching or movement

Breathwork Practice

Learning to regulate your nervous system is the single most important preparation you can do. Specific techniques that activate the parasympathetic nervous system will be shared via YouTube links before your session — practise these daily, even multiple times per day. It only takes a few minutes.

"These earth medicines are catalysts for change — and they require you to be an active participant in your own evolution. The ceremony opens the door. You walk through it."

— Ryan Hawell

After Your Ceremony

Give Yourself Space

Allow 24–48 hours with no heavy work commitments. Nature, quiet, and simplicity are the best medicine post-ceremony.

The Window of Change

The 2–3 weeks following your ceremony are an optimal window for neuroplasticity. New patterns and insights are more accessible — use this time wisely.

Integration Support

Your journey includes 1 integration call. Extended support is available and strongly encouraged — your experience doesn't end when the ceremony does.

Ready to Begin?

When you book your session, you'll be guided through a short health screening form as part of the reservation process. This ensures we're prepared to hold the safest, most personalised space for you.
